Catalog description

Study of the complexities and political struggles surrounding the inclusion of racial and ethnic minoritized groups in the democratic process throughout American history. Topics include theoretical approaches of race and ethnicity in US politics, historical context of social mobilization and civic inclusion, trends and underpinnings of public attitudes towards those minoritized groups, racial and ethnic identities as foundations to political engagement and incorporation into American civic life.
