Catalog description

A broad, interdisciplinary introduction to biosecurity and bioterrorism as emerging challenges to national and global security. Focus areas include the history of biological threats, emerging technologies, and the networks that detect, diagnose, and defend against them. Topics cover natural resources, plant and animal health, biosafety, bioterrorism, biowarfare, laws and regulations, economic impacts, and countermeasures.
