Catalog description

The biology of plants grown for food, feed, fuel, fiber and fun! Starting with natural and managed ecosystems and their interactions, the course then introduces how plants obtain and manage water and nutrients before giving a big picture view of carbon assimilation, metabolism and storage in terms of plant productivity and growth in variable environments. The way plants respond to endogenous and applied growth regulators as well as genetic signals is described, before considering the role of genetics in plant pest interactions and management.
