Catalog description

An introduction to open, unsolved problems in pure and applied mathematics. Development of foundational understanding necessary to approach open problems. Engagement in data collection, forming hypotheses, problem solving, and other creative aspects of mathematical research. Discussion about how to find and read existing mathematical research papers, and emphasis on effective mathematical writing and communication.
