Catalog description

Clinic in which third-year law students, under the direct supervision of clinic director, serve as guardian ad litem (GAL) for children involved in child welfare system. Goals: provide students with knowledge, skills and ethical underpinnings necessary to function as effective advocates in a setting involving the legal needs of young children; allow student to obtain certification as approved GALs in the Nebraska court system, making them "practice ready" upon graduation.
