Client Counseling Competition

Catalog description

Students may participate in this course by invitation only upon being selected to represent Nebraska Law at the regional competition hosted by the ABA. Typically, 1-2 teams are selected to participate based on their performance in the immediately preceding Frank & Lawson Client Counseling Competition. Students must commit to attend and compete in the regional competition (and, if successful, the national competition) prior to registering for this class. Students participating in this course and attending the regional competition are eligible for 1 credit hour. If a team advances to the national competition, it is expected that the students will travel to the competition location, compete in the three preliminary rounds, and complete the national Memo Round during a weekend preceding the national competition. In this situation, the students may increase their credit load in this course to 2 credit hours (subject to approval by the Student Development Office).
