Catalog description

This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the information and resources needed to establish and operate a law practice. Students will apply business and entrepreneurship concepts to their own strengths, values, and desired practice areas, equipping them with tools to build a successful and sustainable practice. Topics include business ideation; mission, vision, and values; marketing and client acquisition; fee structures and billing methods; insurance; law practice technology; operational matters; and ethics and professionalism. Students are assessed primarily on a comprehensive written business plan and in-class business presentation.
