Patent Practice and Innovation Management

Catalog description

Simulated skills-based course focused on the lifecycle of patent-protected innovation (i.e., pre-patent strategy, patent searching, patent preparation and prosecution, post allowance activities, and general portfolio management). Interact with real or simulated inventors and examiners. Provide an understanding of the nature and operation of patents, hands on experience with patent searching, drafting and prosecution, and an understanding of the strategic use of patents.
