Insights in developing professional careers through invited lectures and colloquia. Finding a mentor and negotiating a graduate program, the scholarly publication process, developing professional networks, building and working in interdisciplinary teams, applying for jobs, university and industry collaborations, and developing a research and teaching program. Career concerns of students from groups under-represented in their field of study and to students interested in pursuing careers outside of the academy.
