Introduction to Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
University of Nebraska-Lincoln · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
Introduction to the theory and techniques of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy with a particular application to the structure determination of organic compounds. Basic theory of NMR that includes chemical shifts, coupling constants and relaxation. Topics include the application and analysis of two-dimensional NMR spectra to determine chemical structures, the basic design and implementation of an NMR experiment or pulse sequence, and NMR instrumentations, RF pulses, experimental and processing parameters.
