An examination of the continuing influence of the common law on the resolution of contemporary legal issues. Considers the common law in the context of law created by other law-making institutions. Reviews the law of torts, contracts, and property and explores how traditional doctrines have evolved to govern current social problems, with emphasis on issues impacting business activity.
