Catalog description

This class examines the complexities of human learning and cognitive functions in relation to common theories in career and technical education. Throughout the course, we will explore the evolution of learning theories and cognitive models since the inception of scientific inquiry into human learning and mental processes. Integral to the Master of Science Teaching & Extension Education Program, this course aims to familiarize novice and experienced educators with the dynamics of learners and the learning process within classroom and laboratory settings. We will analyze the roles of teachers and students in shaping the learning journey and assess the influence of interactive classroom environments on educational outcomes. Additionally, we will delve into prominent theories on learning processes and their practical implications for teaching methodologies.
