This course introduces computer programming using the C++ programming language with object-oriented programming principles. Emphasis is placed on event-driven programming methods, including creating and manipulating objects, classes, and using object-oriented tools such as the class debugger. Upon completion, students should be able to design, code, test and debug at a beginning level.

Up to 50% of the total contact hours per week may be scheduled for the online portion at the instructor's discretion. Students are expected to attend scheduled class sessions as well as complete online assignments to be successful in the class. Webcam, microphone, computer, and reliable high-speed Internet access are required. Online exams may be proctored.
