This course introduces an overall view of modern astronomy. Topics include an overview of the solar system, the sun, stars, galaxies, and the larger universe. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the universe around them.

H21 notes: HYBRID COURSE This course is a hybrid format whereby instruction is both face-to-face and online. Over 50% of the total contact hours per week will be online. Students are expected to attend scheduled class sessions as well as complete online assignments to be successful. Webcam, microphone, computer, and reliable high-speed internet access are required.
