Professional Development: Letterpress: Well-Dressed Word

Catalog description

This course introduces students to letterpress printing using the facilities in the Harry Smith Print Shop. Students are instructed in basic techniques, as well as in the proper use of materials. Students also learn about basic design principles and the history and aesthetics of fine printing. Course requirements include working on a letterpress-printed project, weekly readings and some written assignments, and participation in group critiques and tasks. Prerequisite: WRI210.
