Pathways for Spiritual Care and Leadership

Catalog description
This course will invite students to explore traditional and emerging pathways for professional spiritual caregiving and leadership including, but not limited to, health care chaplaincy, academic teaching, dharma teaching/scholarship, non-profit leadership, eco-chaplaincy, and psychedelic-assisted care. Students will reflect on their motivations and aspirations for entering the Master of Divinity degree program, and will identify contemplative practices and strategies to support well-being and success in the program. Through sharing from their lived experience, and encountering exemplars in the field of spiritual caregiving and leadership, students will articulate personal and professional goals for their Naropa MDiv experience.
