Catalog description

This didactic and experiential course examines common sources of and responses to feelings of social disconnection. Students deepen their understanding of how societal pressures associated with one's social location, including race, ability, neurodiversity, sexual orientation, and gender identity, may influence mental health. Students use the genogram to understand the impact of their own identity and familial history on their personal and professional development, and then select a special topic for further exploration. NBTC students only.
