Catalog description

An introduction and study with direct application of the fundamentals of jazz improvisation. There will be study of transcribed solos and tune memorization, basic chord and scale patterns and their recognition as well as chord-scale relationships and basic blues forms will be studied. Students will develop aural and performance skills related to these jazz theory skills.
