Medical Asst Seminar/Practicum

Catalog description

The course has two parts: practicum and seminar. The practicum requires the student to perform 160 hours of unpaid, supervised work experience in a healthcare setting that provides opportunities to practice their administrative and clinical skills under the supervision of a licensed, registered, or certified healthcare professional. A weekly seminar will review the practicum experience and discuss job readiness, resume preparation, certification/registration, and continuing education.
