This course provides an overview of the field of speech-language pathology, including the nature of communication, communication disorders, and the roles and responsibilities of speech-language pathologists across educational, medical, and community settings. Emphasis is placed on professional issues, scope of practice, evidence-based practice, and an introduction to clinical decision-making.
