Catalog description

This course includes principles and procedures for selected physical therapy procedures including assessments and interventions. Topics include: preparation for patient care, positioning/draping, aseptic technique, safety, patient transfers, assistive devices, and vital signs. Biophysical agents including: electrotherapeutic agents, compression therapies, cryotherapy, hydrotherapy, superficial and deep thermal agents, traction and light therapies. Patient education, professional behaviors, and documentation related to course content is included.
