Catalog description

Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program This course provides a review of basic musculoskeletal anatomy and introduction to medical terminology as it relates to the structure and function of the human musculoskeletal and sensory systems. The concepts of kinesiology, the basic mechanics of motion, are introduced with the development of skills and the analysis of movement. Upper Extremity conditions and treatments are emphasized.
