Catalog description
This one-hour non-credit lab/course will emphasize the skills required to read college-level texts with satisfactory comprehension, speed, and retention. Readings will provide models and topics covered in co-requisite English Composition I classes. Grammar and mechanics will also be emphasized. The final grade in this course will be either S (satisfactory) or U (unsatisfactory). In order to receive a grade of S and pass the course, a student must have a final average of 70% or higher. One hour of lecture/lab time/week.
