Catalog description
This course provides an in-depth exploration of equine enterprise management with a specific focus on marketing horses for sale and managing equine facilities. Students will examine real-world sales from past horse auctions and private sales to analyze the factors that influence a horse's market value, including pedigree, performance records, conformation, training level, and presentation. Students will complete a comprehensive marketing and facility management plan for their own equine operation or a hypothetical business. This capstone project will incorporate sales strategies, branding, digital marketing tools, customer targeting, and facility optimization techniques.
