This course surveys the history of Mexico from the pre-Columbian period to the present. Topics include the early peoples of Mexico, indigenous civilizations such as the Maya and the Aztec, the Spanish conquest, colonial Mexico, Mexican independence movements, the U.S. - Mexican War, the Mexican Revolution and modern Mexico.
