Explores the connection between literature and power, and literature's impact on social and cultural change from ancient times to the present. Provides insight into world cultures and encourages students to examine their own cultural assumptions. Recommended for students intending to become English and writing majors. This course addresses literature from two or more regions/countries spanning the ancient era to 1000 C.E.
