Catalog description

The emphasis for this course is placed on students finding their personal voice as a printmaker through directed exploration of medium and content creation. Students determine an area of interest within the scope of printmaking methods and their personal intentions. Students may continue to explore the rich visual potential in woodcut, screen-print or intaglio, working to advance their application of methods. Students are introduced to new methods they may incorporate, such as stone lithography and more advanced intaglio printing techniques. Students regularly participate in discussions on their image construction, intentions with their relationship to viewer, and where they reside within the contemporary world of printmaking.
