Catalog description

This intermediate-level course is designed for students who have a conversational knowledge of Spanish, but little or no formal preparation in the language. Emphasis will be on the study and application of Spanish grammar and vocabulary as well as the communicative practice of coherence, cohesion, and unity. Class activities include reading and written assignments, conversation with the instructor via Blackboard Collaborative and Zoom and student speaking recordings to questions related to the course theme. This class will use reading and writing activities from all sorts of disciplines in order to enhance the students’ grasp of vocabulary and to provide them with opportunities to express themselves in Spanish. This course is offered in fall and summer. Prerequisite: Placement test.
