Catalog description

This course is an introduction to discrete mathematics with a primary focus on applications for students majoring in Mathematics or Computer Science. Topics covered include logic, elementary number theory, methods of proof, mathematical induction, set theory, combinatorics, functions, recursion, relations, efficiency of algorithms, graphs and trees. Spring. Prerequisite: MAT 162 or higher math placement.
