Catalog description

This course completes the college preparatory math curriculum and prepares students for the credit-bearing course MAT 162 . Topics include: simplifying algebraic expressions, evaluating expressions and equations, working with exponents and scientific notation, performing operations on polynomials and rational expressions, including factoring polynomials, simplifying radical expressions and converting between radical expressions and rational exponents. Institutional credit only. Courses that earn institutional credit do not apply towards graduation. A GRADE OF “C” OR HIGHER IS REQUIRED FOR PASSING. Prerequisite: MAT 092 .
