Catalog description

This lecture-based course describes the basic structure and function of the body’s organ systems within the context of common human diseases. The theme of this course is homeostasis, the maintenance of a constant internal environment, and how various disease states disrupt this dynamic equilibrium. Students with little science background will investigate human disease with an emphasis on current medical and health advances. Prerequisites: ENG 098 , FYE 101 , MAT 092 or MAT 096 , RDG 098 , or placement.
