An introduction to the theories, principles, and practices of working with special needs children, their families, and a collaborative team in the school-based system. Explore effective case management strategies and resources in special education. Identify key components of the IEP (Individualized Education Program). Emphasis is on building ethical standards in practice and developing knowledge, skills and values of the professional. Explore college and career pathways related to working with clients with disabilities. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
