Introduction to Periodontology

This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene program. The student will be introduced to a continuation of the study of Periodontics. This course is an introduction of the basic concepts of Periodontics. Emphasis will be placed on the periodontium and the etiology, diagnosis, treatment planning, and prevention of periodontal disease. 36.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
