Includes the production, characteristics, and biological effects of radiation, the function, components and operation of the x-ray unit; radiation protection and monitoring; chemistry and techniques associated with x-ray film development. Introduction to anatomical landmarks, intraoral long-cone radiographic techniques for exposing bitewing, periapical, and occlusal films. 27.00 hours lecture and 54.00 hours laboratory.
