Catalog description

This course studies the fundamental roles and importance of transportation in companies and the society. The course evaluates the complex environment in which transportation services are provided and explores strategies for adapting to a fast-paced and rapidly changing industry. Specific topics include overview of transportation, supply chain, the economy, traditional modes of transportation, special carriers, global transportation, economic operating characteristics of each mode, costing, pricing, carrier strategy and information management.
