Interpreting in Educ. Setting

Catalog description
This course will explore the theory and skills required to interpret in a K-12 educational setting. Course work and practice will focus on ethical dilemmas and decision making in a K-12 educational interpreting environment. Vocabulary commonly used in educational (K-12) settings will be discussed and practiced. Roles and responsibilities in a K-12 setting will be discussed and analyzed. Child and language development will be covered and discussed. Students must also register in INT-108, Ed Settings Field Experience. (2 contact hours)
