Catalog description

In this course, semi-weekly seminars allow the paramedic intern to conduct research and give an oral presentation on a case study to the Program Director and classmates. The student will meet with the Medical Director for an oral board examination. The student will also be required to successfully complete ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS and PALS courses. Completion of the field Capstone must include a team leader role on 20 ALS ambulance calls in order to graduate and complete EMS-237. Upon successful completion, the student is eligible to take the Paramedic State of Illinois Licensing Examination. (15 contact hours)
