Catalog description

Explores security threats and countermeasures for websites. Explore use of software and tools to examine how major security issues happen and strategies for prevention. Major security threat topics include but not limited to: Cross-Site Request Forgery, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Header Injection and URL Redirection, Exploiting a Sites File Upload Feature, Poisoning Sender Policy Framework, XML Injections and Command, HTML and SQL Injection Vulnerabilities. Students work with the Kali Linux platform on a virtual machine. (Prerequisite: 150-107 IT Fundamentals 1)
