Catalog description

Introduction to Project Management is a foundational course that introduces students to the principles and practices of project management through both traditional and modern approaches. Students gain practical experience applying Predictive (Waterfall) methodologies based on the PMI project lifecycle and Adaptive (Agile) frameworks that emphasize iterative delivery, flexibility, and collaboration. The course prepares students for real-world project environments by exploring how different management approaches are used to successfully plan and execute projects. (Prerequisites: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in 103-159 Computer Literacy - Microsoft Office; 101-138 Data Management Analysis and Reporting or 103-180 Microsoft Excel or 116-189 Team Building and Problem Solving or 801-197 Technical Reporting)
