Catalog description

This course is designed to give teacher candidates the opportunity to put theory into practice; teacher candidates will complete 45 hours of observation and teaching in a classroom setting with the purpose of applying their knowledge and skills of educational foundations (InTASC, etc) as they relate to effective teaching. Teacher candidates will engage in professional and reflective practices while bridging their coursework with classroom experiences. This course will allow students to refine their philosophy of education statement as well as support their development of an action research project. This is a Proficiency-Based Education course; teacher candidates are required to show mastery on proficiency scales. Prerequisite: EDU 336A (pass with C or better).
