Catalog description

This course will cover the fundamentals of data access and cleaning. This will include data extraction and export technologies such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Query By Example (QBE), Application Programming Interfaces (API), and others. Topics will include connecting to data sources, retrieving data, cleaning data, utilizing data, converting data, and sharing data. Some of the file formats utilized will include Comma Separated Values (CSV), Java Script Object Notation (JSON), Excel (XLS/CLSX), and Extensible Markup Language (XML). Prerequisite: CAPP 156 .
