Catalog description

Study of Plant evolution with a focus on flowering plants found in prairie, foothill, mountain, and riparian habitats. Students develop skills in using dichotomous keys and plant identification. Students prepare hard-copy herbarium labels and submit electronic label information. Correct herbarium mounting format is included. Prerequisites: BIOB 160 /161 Principle of Living Systems Lecture and Lab. Corequisite: BIOO 336 Mountain Flora Lab.
