SRAS: Understanding Central Asia

Offered every term. Restricted to students in the SRAS program. Taught at The London School in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The course offers a broad overview of the cultural and social, as well as the historical and religious, dimensions of Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan, in addition to Afghanistan and Xinjiang because of their influential role in greater Eurasia.
