Catalog description

Offered autumn. This course examines the social and political aspects of climate change with a focus on international and domestic processes and cases. Students examine climate impacts and solutions through the lens of social science and social theory. More specifically, they examine social vulnerability, conflict over climate action, the role of behavior change, climate policy at multiple scales, and adaptation strategies for range of contexts.
