In this course we will explore German narratives in literature and film and examine the relationship between literary and cinematic forms in the German-language tradition. We will discuss different aspects of genre and style in German literature and film and how the topics we cover represent developments in Central European literature and culture from the early 19th century to the present. We will also focus on terms and aspects connected to both German literature and cinema. The course will be taught primarily in German.
