Offered intermittently. Instruction in the prevention, recognition, and treatment of backcountry illness and injury. Successful students receive an Aerie Wilderness First Responder certification and an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR certification. This course meets IPAT department first aid requirement, but does not meet the CPR requirement.
