Introduction to the principles of sound from the perspective of production and perception; the physical properties of sound (pitch, intensity, duration/phase) and their perceptual correlates and differential sensitivities; the concepts of dB and threshold measurements; and the anatomy and physiology of the hearing (and vestibular) system.
