Catalog description

This course introduces the fundamentals of Signed Communication used by the Deaf Community, including basic vocabulary, syntax, fingerspelling, and grammatical non-manual signals. It also focuses on basic expressive and receptive communicative competence. In addition, this course provides a survey of various issues surrounding Signed Communication and the Deaf community.
