Qualitative Research Methods

Catalog description

Students are encouraged to take COMX 461 in conjunction with this course when it is offered. Students will explore qualitative research methods commonly used in Communication Studies, including data collections like ethnography, focus groups and interviews, and analysis methods like grounded theory coding and content analysis. Working in small groups, they will plan, develop, conduct, write, and present an original qualitative research project. Level: Undergraduate
