Offered Spring in even years. Demonstration of the wide possibilities of chemical computer modeling through a series of lectures and guided programming/simulation projects. The course will cover structure representations, representation interconversions, structure/reaction database searching, and structure similarity searching, followed by methods for the prediction of bulk properties, structures, reaction mechanisms, biological activity predictions and the design of drugs.
